THE TIMES SQUARE BALL

Times Square Ball is a ball  droppedvibrantsignalspectacularweighedloweredconfettidropdisplaycurrent at a certain time at the top of the One Times Square building. Every year
at 11:59 p.m., the Ball is confettispectaculardisplaydropdroppedvibrantweighedcurrentsignallowered 43 m from a flagpole to droppedvibrantsignalweigheddisplaydropconfettispectacularcurrentlowered the start of a new year.
The tradition started in 1833 in Greenwich, England. A ball would  weighedvibrantlowereddropcurrentdroppedconfettidisplaysignalspectacular everyday at 1 p.m. from the top of the Royal
Observatory to coordinate the time for sea captains. In New York, the first ball drop took place in 1907. The first Ball was
