SPECIFIC COMPETENCES

SC 1. Linguistic competence: Application of the linguistic norms in the formation of simple, short correct messages, valuing the language as a system.

SC 2. Sociolinguistic competence: The use of linguistic structures, demonstrating the functionality of the language within the framework of the social contact.

SC 3. Pragmatic competence: The use of the linguistic structures in familiar and predictable contexts, demonstrating coherence and accuracy in communication.

SC 4. (Pluri- / inter-) cultural competence: Appropriation of elements specific to the culture of the target language countries, showing broad-mindedness and motivation for intercultural dialogue.

Competence Units

1.2. Identification of the meaning of commonly-used words in short, clear, simple contexts.
1.3. Ability to distinguish simple grammatical forms and syntactic structures specific to the foreign language in familiar contexts.
1.5. The correct usage of simple, short words and expressions, specific to the foreign language, in the context of everyday communication.
1.8. Ability to distinguish through reading of the message of the simple sentences which describe people / objects and familiar settings.
1.9. Identification of grammatical structures specific to the foreign language in simple, clear messages.
2.3. Ability to distinguish of the meaning of some key words and phrases from short authentic texts in everyday settings.
